What is coconut apricot wax?
Coconut apricot wax is a blended candle wax built around coconut- and apricot-derived wax components. The exact formulation can vary by supplier, so it is more accurate to describe a candle by its actual blend rather than treating every “coconut wax candle” as the same product.
What is Toffee's wax blend made to offer?
According to the specifications for the wax used in Toffee candles, the blend is vegan, paraben-free, phthalate-free, biodegradable and made from renewable sources. Our fragrance oils are also phthalate-free and made without ingredients on California's Proposition 65 list.
Are Toffee candles clean-burning?
We describe the coconut apricot wax blend as clean-burning based on the material specifications provided for the wax. We prefer to explain what that means in concrete terms rather than use “clean” as a vague health claim: the wax blend is vegan, paraben-free and phthalate-free, and the fragrance oils are phthalate-free and made without ingredients on California's Proposition 65 list.
“Clean-burning” does not mean a candle is emission-free, and Toffee does not describe its candles as non-toxic or as a health product. Any candle involves combustion, so proper candle care and ventilation still matter.
Is coconut apricot wax the same as pure coconut wax?
No. A coconut apricot wax candle should not automatically be described as a 100% coconut wax candle. Toffee uses a coconut apricot wax blend, so that is the terminology we use throughout our store.
Why can handmade candles vary slightly?
Because the candles are handcrafted, slight variations in wax color, fill level and vessel height can occur. Small differences are a normal part of the production process and do not mean the candle is a different fragrance or formula.
